All right, I couldn’t stand it one second longer! As y’all know, I finished my Fall decorating a few weeks ago and I thought I was going to be able to stand *not* switching out at that big burlap wreath that I had hanging up on the mirror over the mantel to something in a fall themed design. Well, I was completely wrong, it was driving me ***crazy*** to not have a wreath that matched the rest of the Fall decor!
Here is what the fireplace/mantel/mirror looked like before with the rest of the fireplace/mantel done up for Fall:
And this is a close-up of that wreath that turned out beautifully, but, did not match the Fall decorations:
I have now remedied the confused decorating state that my fireplace, mantel, & mirror were stuck in and have replaced the above wreath with this one that I created after purchasing all supplies on sale yesterday:
Here is a list of the supplies that I utilized:
- Large Metal Wreath Frame
- 2 Large Skeins of Burlap
- 2 Leaf Garlands
- 3 Resin Pumpkins
- Coordinating Wired Ribbon
- Grapevine Pumpkins
- Orange Berry Stems
- Floral Wire & Pipe Cleaners
Here is a video tutorial for you. 🙂
And here are a couple of pictures of the finished product:
I know it may seem silly to some of you that not having a wreath to match the rest of the fireplace/mantel decor would drive me so crazy, but, as y’all know by now, I’m a very anal retentive person who strives each day to pull my decor together into one cohesive design–I feel like I have now done that in the family room. All is well now, and I can breathe a lot easier and not cringe with frustration when I look at that mirror. 😉 🙂
