Christmas Switch-Out 2016–Family Room, Kitchen, Kitchen Eating Area, & Powder Room

Oh my goodness gracious y’all, I’m so tired!  <~~~ I’m only half kidding…lol… I have been diligently working on getting our house put back to its “normal” self.  Before I lament further, I’d like to wish each and every one of you a VERY Happy New Year!!  I wish nothing but happiness, great health, and whatever else your hearts desire to come to you in this nice, fresh, new year. 🙂 AND let me take a moment to thank each and every one of you for taking time out of your day to read my ramblings and look at all of my pictures. 🙂  It seems that my little Blog here is doing pretty well, and that is due to all of you out there who have stopped by to join me on my crafting and traveling journeys. 🙂  I am humbled by each and every “like” and sweet comment—thank you all from the very bottom of my heart. ❤

All right, back to the subject at hand,  Chris and I started this marathon process a few days after Christmas when we took both Christmas trees down. Since then,  I’ve been working each and every day, whittling away at each little space i.e. the fireplace mantel and hearth, table tops, cozy corners, lantern centerpieces, and beyond.  All along the way, I’ve also been creating YouTube videos, actually, I’ve created a new “Series” entitled “Christmas Switch-Out”.  So far, I’ve created 3 videos showing y’all my ‘switch-out’ process and then sharing how I redecorate in a more generic way.   I do not decorate for “Winter”, instead I redecorate using regular country decor that I can augment with Holiday/Seasonal decor, i.e. maybe a heart or two for Valentine’s Day, a Shamrock or two for St. Patty’s Day, possibly some Bunnies for Easter, well, you get my drift.

I have finished the rooms in the back portion of our home and those rooms include the family room, the kitchen, the kitchen eating area, and the powder room.  Below, I will post link to my first three videos in my YouTube series for y’all…but, first, here are some pictures of some of the spaces and things that I’ve created in the last week or so. 🙂

Here is the Mantel:

Okie dokie…As you can see, I’ve been quite busy–and so has Chris, poor soul has been carrying my bins back downstairs and getting everything organized down there.  He is such a trooper!! 🙂  Here are 3 links, Episodes 1, 2, & 3 in my new YouTube Series:

I still have two more videos to create, one will highlight the living and dining rooms and the second one will highlight what I’ve done outside.  🙂

For now, Sophie, Samson, Gracie, and I say:

Until next time, y’all take good care!! ❤
